6 Months

My sweet baby boy turned 6 months last Friday!  I cannot believe how fast the time has flown by.  Today I FINALLY put ink on his hand and did his imprint.  Ummm.... The top says "Tiny Hands", but let me tell you.  There is nothing tiny about his hand :).  And I listened to his recorded baby cry.  WOW.  That kid had (has) powerful lungs!  Also listened to his heart beat that we took the night before he was born in the hospital.  He had the hiccups during it.  I got the chills listening to it then thinking about how CRAZY the whole birth was.....

So, at 6 months, my estimate is that he weighs somewhere around 18 lbs and is about 26-ish inches long.  We'll go to the dr. in a couple of weeks.  Didn't make an appointment due to his (lack of) surgery, then couldn't get in until the week of Thanksgiving!!  He has started rolling around everywhere.  Am going to have to baby-proof soon.  And he objects STRONGLY if you take something away from him or move him, etc... if it's not what he had in mind.  Opinionated.  Don't know where he gets that from....  He still just has 2 teeth.  Thank heavens.  Not ready for more.  He loves the idea of eating food, but isn't exactly crazy about it once it's in his mouth.  He likes bananas, gags on apples and just tried sweet potato for the first time tonight.  It went over ok at first.  Then it reached the gagging stage.....
