That would be diaper rash and diahrea. We're going on day 4.5 of the diaper rash and day 3 of diahrea. I know. It's nothing anyone wants to hear/read about, but that's what our days have been consumed with this week. Literally. Poor little guy. And the dr. said there's nothing to be done. Just lots of liquids and added in a probiotic (dairy free of course) to his "milk". Of course NO ONE has the probiotic - today's to-do this afternoon is to hit the other Walgreen's in the area after yesterday's trips to Target, Walgreen's, HEB and CVS. REALLY?! How can everyone have that spot empty on their shelf!?
Oh, and today I thought the smell of poop was just stuck in my head. Oh, wait. Nope. That would be poop on my shirt. Yup. Fantastic. This can end anytime now!!
Poor kid. We've gone to hosing down in the sink to minimize wiping the hiny. At least he likes the sink!

Amanda,
ReplyDeleteDi-Gize oil is GREAT for diahrea (I have some) you just put one drop in his belly button a few times a day and the tummy issues magically go away (at least that has been my experience).
Also, Aquaphor for diaper rash. Don't use those other harsh ointments. Wait until his bottome is completely dry then put it on. This stuff seals the unwanted moisture out and allows the skin to heal quickly; usually within a day. Aquaphor is at most stores, but Di-Gize is something you have ot order, so you can come get some from me if you need!
um, did you sanitize the sink after? ;) LOL!!! glad he's better now!
