All Smiles

Last week on Cole's 5 week "birthday" he smiled at me for real for the first time.  It was so rewarding!  It keeps me going through those few witching hours in the evenings just to know that they will end, and he will smile at me again. 

He's still growing like a weed.  Got a Wii Fit, which allows you to weigh your pet or baby.  So of course we created a Mii for him and for Rocky.  Cole officially weighs more that the Rockstar now.  Rocky weighs 9.5lbs and Cole weighs almost 10.5lbs!  No wonder my back hurts from holding the little monkey.  And I packed up most of the newborn clothes.  Alot of the 0-3 are still kinda big, but the NB were just too short, which made them hard to get on.  It's not fun trying to pull a baby's arm through a hole that's tight.  There's much screaming involved.

Sleep is better since we started swaddling again.  And we swaddled him yesterday when we got home from church for an afternoon nap, and it was great!  He slept for 2 hours and still slept great last night - 4.5 hours.  The new record.  Today's nap swaddling didn't work so well.  We'll try again in the afternoon.  Little man just likes his mommy :).

And, a little bit of reminiscing to last year at this time.  We were in Europe backpacking.  It was absolutly WONDERFUL.  Crazy how life changes in a year, but I wouldn't trade the little monkey in for anything.
